A believer!!! … after they broke in.

I initially got the honey loafer in a 9.5 but they were somewhat tight which reminded me of another pair of shoes I own that are great one minute but when my feet swell, they are painfully tight, so I exchanged for a half size up and now they are a tad loose but that’s ok, the bigger issue was that they were digging into my lower ankle bones to the point that it was leaving a mark and caused a sharp pain. Another pair in black I got were so much worse so I immediately returned those but the honey pair weren’t as bad so I gave them a chance hoping things would get better and they did! After just one or two short wears they are noticeably better, I wouldn’t take these on a trip or attend a trade show quite yet but hopeful that after a few more wears that they’d be fully broken in, otherwise the Portuguese leather seems like really good quality and yea they are very very comfortable and I can already feel the insole molding to my feet. When standing in a line I found myself rocking from side to side enjoying the type of cushioning I wouldn’t expect from a loafer. I’m not really a sneaker guy so comfortable nice shoes are important to me, I’ll save the leather soled shoes for formal events because my 50+ year old feet have been asking for more resources provided in the comfort department! If these end up as nicely broken in as they appear to be headed, the lighter suede loafer will be next, then who knows? Maybe I’ll try a pair of the hybrid Blk/white sneakers? Can’t wait!

Love these, will be back

I have several other brands in my closet, CH, Thursday, Flor, so I’m not reviewing in a vacuum. Starting a new position soon so I thought I’d treat myself to a new pair of shoes. I have been wanting to try some loafers, haven’t had a pair in many may years. Grabbed the AJ loafers in honey and let me say, I love these things. The fit is perfect, they feel perfectly snug, zero slippage, but also don’t feel like they are constricting you foot. The comfort in the sole is also fantastic, I’m hooked and already picking out my next pair. Winter is approaching so I’m thinking I’m going to grab a boot next. Keep on rocking it, guys, I’ll be back for more!
