Our soles are made with new, proprietary materials that deliver surprisingly sweet comfort, all day long. Our A-grade full grain leather comes from one of the best tanneries in the world, who also happen to be our business partner; that means you get incredible quality at a price you won’t find anywhere else. The shoes are then made by masters in Portugal who have decades of experience but also aren’t afraid to get a little futuristic with it. This is a totally different type of shoe.

Good middle ground between painful dress shoes and dress sneakers

I have a decent shoe rotation but they have been killing my feet as I have gotten older. I am not a fan of overtly sneakerish dress sneakers. The ones with a big bright white soles just don’t look professional to me. The Amberjack cap toe la I just received are a nice compromise, in a good way. They look professional and yet are comfortable with good arch support and overall cushion. Also at just under $200 they are a very good value so far. I am only a week in but so far I am happy. I wear a 13D in Allen Edmonds and that is what I ordered and the fit was right.

Comfortable, but not perfect.

The shoes look nice - the images online do a good job of conveying how they look in person. They're reasonably comfortable, if a bit narrow for my feet - I'm usually fine with standard width shoes but in these I find my little toe is just a little short on room. That did said, they seem to have improved after a couple weeks in them.

Perhaps the strangest oversight with these is the laces are too short. It was a struggle to get a knot in the original laces and I ended up replacing them with laces that are 4-6 inches longer (I think the replacements were 40") which was perfect.

Time will tell how well they hold up, but at least there are no obvious defects or signs of wear after 2 weeks of daily use.

Obsidian cap toe

I received the shoe package on a timely basis and in good shape. In general, I like the shoe, however the finish on the shoe, while good, needed further finishing. I tried to buy the special shoe kit from your website, however it is not on the website. I chatted with customer service and was told it it is out of stock. I tried to find out what was in the kit so I could buy it locally and I got no answer. I have to classify this as poor customer service.

Very Impressed

For starters, the shoes look really good. High quality on all fronts. The comfort level is awesome. I've been a dedicated Rockport brand wearer for years ... I took a chance based on ads and reviews and am really glad I did.

The Shoes of My Dreams

One week in, I am shocked by the quality and comfort. I thought these would be nice, but the company must really have an in with those cobblers in Portugal. The build is of unmistakable refinement, the fit is precise, and the comfort is on the tennis shoe level.
