The Boot

This is my second pair of shoes from Amberjack. The Original was my first. The Boot fits remarkably well. It hugs my foot in comfort and confidence. They look great, they feel great, and they appear to be made very well. I bought them to be worn in the winter months. Time will tell how well they hold up to a little slush and salt from time to time.

I bought these to go with a new pilot uniform. I wear these for long periods walking around airports and on the ramp. Overall it’s a good boot. Manufacturing material and quality seem good, have a good soft leather feel and smell like genuine leather. The sole is smooth and a little slippery on metal surfaces like jet bridge stairs and wet smooth surfaces. First day wearing them was painful but they broke in quick. I have worn them for 6 days of work total and they are nearly broke in and getting softer with each day I wear them. The pulls on the back of the boot are worthless, I’ll probably cut them off. Way too small to get even my pinkie in to help slide them on. I’m 5’11, 200 lbs and don’t have pencils for fingers. It’s a good boot, I like how they look and I have a feeling they will be super comfortable within a month of wearing them. The shoe bag they supply with the boots when shipped is unnecessary. I appreciate efficiency and less waste. I’m sure I paid for it given the price of the boot, but it’s a useless product that provides zero value for me.

Still within the break-in period but these boots are better than what I expected. After trying a few different boots from other brands, I set my hopes low for Amberjack, but these Amberjacks are very comfortable and fit perfectly. The material used seems to be good quality and the boots don’t squeak when I walk. The ONLY complaint I have so far is I’m not a fan of the light beige midsole.
