The Cap-Toe - Final Sale

After a ton of research into comfort and stability, I did what I nearly never do and ordered a pair of shoes that I could never try on first. The day they arrived, and I’d worn them in the house, I told my wife that at 73, with a terrible rebuilt foot, I’d finally found my shoes. The next day I ordered another pair. These shoes are wizardry! SO well made; flexible yet stable, and while hundreds have tried, Amberjack has perfected an orthotic insert. I can’t think of a thing to make them better. These are A+++!

I'm diabetic and I have finally found a shoe I can I can wear that feels comfortable and supports my foot.

I put off buying these for a while, but I am glad I finally bought them. I like them so much I wore them two days in a row. They are extremely comfortable and I like how they dress up a pair of jeans. The slate color is nice and will go with just about anything

These shoes are so comfortable. There was no break in period and the size was true to fit. Highly recommended!

I purchased the obsidian cap-toe after experiencing significant pain during my work day with other footwear. For context, I spend 7 -12 hours on my feet throughout a workday and log roughly 7 to 10 miles of walking according to my Apple Watch. The Amberjack shoe has been a game changer. Pain is gone and I have a restored sense of balance from knees to lower back. Only break-in has been the line at the cap toe where the cap ends and the outside rim of the shoe where it rests on my ankles. This may well be just my foot and only took one day to work through. I wear an 11 regular and ordered accordingly. Fit is perfect at the toe, heel is locked in and leather quality is as advertised.These shoes have been worth every dollar and then some. Next for me are the chukkas in brown. Thank you Amberjack for a great product.

These shoes have gotten me a lot of compliments and they’re comfortable as hell to stand and walk in all day long. There was a problem with them but customer service was extremely fast and took care of it right away. I’ll be buying more shoes here because of the comfort, appearance, and customer service

I ordered a pair of the cap-toe shoes, and I'm quite impressed so far. They seem way more comfortable than any pair of dress shoes has any right to be. The only thing I'm concerned about is the shoe laces. I'm not positive they will last very long, but that's an easy fix.

I had intended to do a YT unboxing video but video editing is above my skill set. So I was careful and deliberate with recording first impressions. The model I purchased gets an A grade for style. I have a dozen pairs of quality men's dress shoes and this brown suede model is outstanding in appearance. I typically wear a men's 10 1/2 and in some sneakers or shoes, size 11. No one's foot or manufacturers' sizing and last is identical and everyone knows that. Wearing a standard dress sock, first impressions in the house was that the shoe was a bit loose. I could feel my foot sliding around inside the shoe. (I will wear a heavier sock on the next test). Outside in the bright sun, the beauty of the shoe was obvious, and perfect for going out in casual dress but with an extra touch of upscale. Really outstanding appearance, for sure. Anyway, first impressions during my walk were that there's too much material in the shoe (for my foot, of course). Here I'm referring to that the amount of leather surrounding the foot was intended for a fatter foot than mine; one with more girth. Not necessarily a larger size. Two guys might wear a shirt with a sleeve length of 32 and one has much larger biceps and forearms than the other; the fit will be too baggy for the man with thinner forearms. That's what I'm getting at. Out of the box, the shoes are not uncomfortable, and not comfortable either. First impressions on my foray are that the sole and foot bed are too flat and for that reason can't possible offer enough support to be comfortable. Again, this is out of the box, so not proper to conclude anything yet. I stopped to tighten the laces and secure the shoe around my foot, and that did help with the 'too loose' feel, but didn't improve overall comfort. The day (July 11, 2025, which is Manhattanhenge in New York City) was about two miles walking overall, and I was glad to get out of these shoes. But, again, that was right out of the box, and I will continue with my review, including wearing a slightly thicker sock, and replacing the insole or adding an insert. I edited a few video clips anyway and the upload feature won't accept video files. Annoying.

The shoe and the insole is very comfortable in this, but it isn’t exactly made for people with high arches. My left foot was uncomfortable two wears so far. I wish the exchange policy allowed for slightly worn shoes. I hoped for more.

UPDATE! I had left the above review and their customer service team reached out to me. Apparently I have wide feet! So this was good to know. I’m wearing them now and they are much much better. The did right by me! So now it’s 5 stars. It was a quick quick process. And now I have comfortable shoes for work. I’ve gotten complements as well

Bought these to wear to my brother’s wedding and they were great. Partied the night away and very comfy and look like they will last a very long time.

Classic yet flashy and comfortable

The shoes just arrived. Everything is promised. Leather looks great. They feel like they’ll get more comfortable as they use them. As expected, the leather is a little tight, but it will loosen with time. The only feedback I would have is that they work to improve the carbon neutral shipping time as it took 11 days to reach me.

My father lives in Mexico and he always wears the Bostonian shoes, I showed him the amber Jack products, he picked up the Bostonian style and he loved the shoes, he is happy and I am happy

After some trial and error with sizing, the Cap-Toe in Chestnut, size 11 Wide, ended up being the right fit for me. They look great, have plenty of room through the forefoot, and are comfortable for commuting and office wear. Amberjack’s customer service was also exceptional throughout the exchange process. They were patient, responsive, and genuinely helpful.

Too heavy

Overall I am pleased with my Cap-Toe shoes. The cap toe styling, along with the perforations on the cap provide a classy look. The leather looks and feels high-quality. The leather for the tongue feels softer than the other parts of the shoe, which is a nice touch and has a great feel, especially with the slight padding in the tongue. Overall cushioning is very good, which helps when I'm on my feet and standing a lot. One item of concern for me is that the shoes are slightly narrow for my feet. I wear a men's size 12 M, and I've never needed to order a Wide-sized shoe for any footwear I've ever worn. But perhaps a wider size for me would have been a slightly better fit.

These shoes look great, feel extremely comfortable, and are reasonably priced. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for the best footwear.

Had my shoes for 2 weeks, loved them, they were stolen, I wrote a review about them and Amberjack reached out and replaced them for free. Great company, thank you so much. Will be wearing these shoes for a long time.
