I walk a couple miles a day in dress shoes. The sole of these are incredibly comfortable and I love the style. The heel gave me some blisters the first days I wore them. Somewhat expected with leather shoes.
Ordered a 10 wide, didn't look wide out of the box so I looked to verify, but no toe numbing pinch when I put my feet in which was great (I'm 5'10" 210lbs). With the exception of a little adjustment to the feel of my own feet by the heel (my primary dress shoes prior being chukkas) they've been great so far. The spots they add a little extra cushioning helps to hold your foot in the shoe and make them feel like they've been your shoes for longer than they have been. I am hopeful that they last as long as they appear like they will.
When I first tried the shoes on, their comfort factor exceeded my expectations. (I am a first time Amberjack buyer.) They are stylish and appear to be constructed well. The real test will come over time to see how they hold up after the usual wear and tear. My initial reaction, though, is two thumbs up! Thanks!
They are very comfortable, but not quite as comfortable as a running shoe. However, they are not any better than others when it comes to durability. As with any leather shoes they scuff and scratch, and after 6 months of wear 4 days a week, the laces are starting to fray and the leather is showing signs of wear. The rubber sole will clearly outlast the rest of the shoe.

Recently purchased my second pair for a weekend convention and they are just as great as the first pair. I was worried about a break in period which was completely unnecessary. Straight on feet from the box for 3 days and they still feel amazing. Run true to size and are extremely comfortable. Get rid of whatever doubts you have or any other dress shoes because once you go AmberJack you don’t go back.
